Michael is a specialist in business valuation. He has over 20 years experience in accounting, valuation and corporate advisory roles at KPMG, Leadenhall VRG and Pacific Dunlop Ltd.
Michael has experience in a diverse range of industries, including infrastructure, healthcare, IT, media, agriculture and financial services. He has extensive experience in the valuation of intellectual property and intangible assets and has provided lead advisory services for significant transactions involving the acquisition and licensing of IP portfolios.
Michael has a strong track record as a trusted senior advisor to several small-to-mid-cap listed companies and large private companies. He has provided shareholder value advice to Boards of listed companies in the context of strategic reviews and has lead numerous valuation assignments in relation to accounting and tax compliance.
- Michael’s advisory experience includes:
- Periodic valuations of water and passenger rail infrastructure assets for a major fund manager.
- Transaction support to Governments in relation to privatisation of infrastructure assets, including Victorian gas infrastructure assets and South Australian electricity infrastructure assets.
- Transaction support for divestment of a large ASX-listed renewable energy company, including detailed valuations and advice to the Board.
- Divestment planning and vendor due diligence for a private road transport company.
- Market valuation analysis of major road transport service providers for the purpose of indicative valuation advice to shareholders.
- Valuation advice to the Board of an ASX-listed IT company prior to its takeover by a larger ASX-listed peer.
- Provision of expert valuation testimony in the Federal Court of Australia.
