Mark Day has had a long career in banking and finance, with positions in the treasury departments of banks and merchant banks in South Australia and interstate. Mark established Corporate Treasury Consulting Pty Ltd in 1994, a consulting firm specialising in debt, treasury and transaction banking advice to the corporate sector.
Mark joined the EISS Board as Independent Chairman in 2002. In 2003 he also took on the roles of Chairman of the Scheme’s Investment Committee and Corporate Governance/Audit Committee.
Prior to joining the Electricity Industry Superannuation Scheme Board, Mark previously served on the Board of the State Government’s Land Management Corporation (LMC), the Public Trustee’s Investment Advisory Board and the Board of the Finance and Treasury Association in the role of President and Chairman.
His education includes a Degree in Commerce as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.
Mark’s years of work in debt advisory dovetails with Value Adviser Associates’ work in valuing unlisted debt instruments, assessing shadow credit ratings and commercial due diligence of unlisted business acquisitions to present a formidable combination of skills and experience.
